Analyze a Web Page’s Meta Tags

Paste a public URL to inspect tags in the HTML returned by its server. Review title, description, canonical, robots and sharing tags alongside illustrative search and social previews.

Check meta tags by URL

Reads public HTML only; login-only pages or tags created after JavaScript runs may be incomplete.

How to check a URL’s meta tags

01

Choose a public page

Paste the HTTP/HTTPS URL of the exact page to inspect. The server can access public sites only; login-only, private-network or oversized pages may not load.

Understand the analysis

Title and description are inputs

The tool shows the found text and character count. Google has no fixed character limit for a title or description; the displayed title and snippet can vary with the query, device and page content.

Read canonical and robots in context

Canonical is a preferred URL hint, not proof of the URL Google selected. A missing robots meta tag is not automatically an error: indexing and following links can be the default when no other blocking directive applies.

Review sharing tags and JSON-LD

Previews are illustrative

The Facebook/X examples use found Open Graph or Twitter Card values, with title/description as fallbacks. Platforms may choose different images or text, cache metadata and change their layouts.

JSON-LD count is not validation

The tool counts found JSON-LD blocks and lists declared types when readable. Use a dedicated validator for syntax, required properties and rich result eligibility.

How are the URL and HTML handled?

Your browser sends the URL to the KitoTool API. The server fetches public HTML up to 2 MB, checks redirects and blocks private addresses. Successful results may be cached for up to 10 minutes. The tool does not execute the target site’s JavaScript or access login-only data.
