Remove extra line breaks, keep paragraphs
Did copied text break at the end of every line? Paste it here to rejoin sentences within each paragraph, then copy the result after reviewing it. This page processes pasted text; it does not open PDF files directly.

From broken lines to readable paragraphs
Paste text
Copy text from a PDF, email or webpage and paste it into the field. The tool accepts copied text; it does not open PDF files or recognize text in images.
Choose a mode
Choose Join lines, keep paragraphs when each line within a paragraph has a hard break. Choose Join into one line for a single line. Open Text cleanup options if you also need to change spacing, bullets, list numbers or URLs.
Review and copy
Select the action button, review the Result field and edit the source if needed, then choose Copy result. Ctrl + Enter or Command + Enter also runs the cleanup.
Choose how much structure to keep
The sample input is “First line↵second line↵↵New paragraph”, where ↵ means a line break. Paragraph boundaries are detected from at least one blank line.
| Mode | Output | Use when |
|---|---|---|
| Join lines, keep paragraphs | First line second line↵↵New paragraph | Copied PDF/email text has broken lines but blank lines mark paragraphs. |
| Join into one line | First line second line New paragraph | The destination needs a single continuous line. |
| Keep line breaks | First line↵second line↵↵New paragraph | A list or line-based text must keep its layout while spacing is cleaned. |
If you enable Remove blank lines between paragraphs, paragraph boundaries disappear. In Join lines, keep paragraphs mode, the paragraphs will then be joined too.
Review the result before copying
- No blank line between paragraphs
- The tool cannot infer the real boundary and may join two paragraphs. Add a blank line in the input first, or use Keep line breaks and edit manually.
- Intentional line breaks
- Lists, poems, addresses and code often use meaningful line breaks. Choose Keep line breaks or process only the prose; joining does not automatically recognize these structures. The options to add breaks after punctuation and capitalize line starts run after the chosen join mode.
- Hyphenated words
- A hyphen at a line end remains after joining. If you see “im- portant”, check the source and fix it manually. Removing URLs, bullets or list numbers can discard needed data; enable those options only after checking the input.
- Breaks after punctuation
- This option matches characters without understanding sentence context. Review decimals, domain names and abbreviations in the result.
What this tool processes
The page processes the text you enter in your browser, does not send it to an KitoTool cleanup API and does not save a draft automatically. Paste and Copy may require browser clipboard permission; if blocked, use Ctrl + V or copy manually from the Result field. Processing does not change the source text in the input field.
