Resize images online by pixel dimensions
Need different image dimensions? Enter a width or height, or scale by percentage; keep the aspect ratio to avoid stretching and preview the new size before downloading.

One JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or SVG imageHow to resize an image
Choose one image
Choose Image or drop a JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or SVG into the tool.
Set width and height
Enter pixels, select a preset, or use Scale. Aspect ratio is locked by default; unlock it only if stretching is acceptable.
Preview and download
Check the output dimensions, choose PNG/JPEG/WebP, and select Download. If you need a KB/MB limit, check the downloaded file.
Choose the right resize setting
| Need | Action in the tool | Check and trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Need a new width or height | Keep the ratio locked and enter one dimension; the other updates automatically. | Check both output dimensions before downloading; the original ratio is kept. |
| Need the image to fit inside a frame | Keep the ratio locked and choose a preset. | A preset is a maximum bounding box; it does not force exact dimensions or crop the image. |
| Need exact width and height with a different ratio | Unlock the ratio and enter both dimensions. To avoid stretching, use Crop Image. | Unlocking can distort the image; cropping removes visible content. |
| Need a smaller file in KB/MB | Reduce pixels here and inspect the file. Need a KB/MB limit? Use Compress Images. | Resizing does not guarantee fewer bytes; output format and quality also matter. |
Pixels, quality and output format
Enlarging does not add detail
Scale ranges from 10–200% of the original. Enlarging a small image can blur text and edges; inspect it at its intended display size.
Output is PNG, JPEG or WebP
The tool defaults to PNG; it does not automatically retain the source format. Choose JPEG/WebP and adjust quality when appropriate; JPEG replaces transparency with white.
Animated GIF becomes a still image; SVG is rasterized
Animated GIFs become a single frame, and SVG is rasterized. Do not use this output if you need animation or a vector file.
DPI is not pixel size
The tool changes pixel width and height; it has no print-DPI control. If a destination requires a specific DPI, inspect the exported file properties.
If the dimensions or result look wrong
- Preset does not match exact pixels
- With the ratio locked, presets are maximum bounds. Check the output pixels; crop for a different aspect ratio instead of stretching.
- File is larger or looks blurry
- Check the output format, quality, and pixel dimensions. PNG can be larger than the source JPEG; enlarging cannot recover lost detail.
- Transparency or animation is lost
- Avoid JPEG if transparency matters; choose PNG/WebP. Animated GIF is not preserved after resizing.
- Cannot download the result
- Try smaller dimensions: each side is limited to 10,000 px and output to 40 million pixels; very large images also depend on device memory.
Image processing in your browser
Your image is read, resized and prepared for download in the browser, so this resize workflow does not need to send the image content to KitoTool servers. This describes how the tool processes images, not an absolute security guarantee for the whole website.
