Edits in the text box apply to Copy text and TXT. SRT/VTT use the original AI-generated lines and timings; review and edit those subtitle files after download.
How to transcribe an audio file
Open a file or record audio
Choose one file up to 100 MB and 30 minutes, or record up to 5 minutes with your microphone. Preview it to check that speech is audible.
Select the language and start
Choose Vietnamese or English if you know the spoken language. Press “Transcribe audio”; the browser downloads the model on the first run.
Compare the transcript with the audio
Replay names and unclear passages. Edit the text box, then copy or download TXT; for subtitles, download SRT/VTT and check each line and timing.
Choose the result you need
| Goal | What to do | Check the result |
|---|---|---|
| Text to read or edit | Select the spoken language, transcribe, edit the text box, then use Copy text or TXT. | Replay names and difficult words; edits appear in the copied text and TXT. |
| Timed subtitles | Download SRT or VTT after transcription. | Open the subtitle file to check lines and timing; text-box edits do not change SRT/VTT. |
| A device with limited memory | Start with Light and a short file; split the file first if needed. | Review the transcript; longer files and larger models need more memory and time. |
If transcription fails or the text is wrong
- The file will not open
- Check the 100 MB/30-minute limit. If a listed file type still fails, your browser may not decode its codec; try MP3 or WAV.
- The model will not load or processing stops
- Check your connection for the first download; try Light or a shorter clip if device memory is limited.
- Missing words or mistimed subtitles
- Replay the passage, choose the correct spoken language, and try clearer audio. Speakers are not labeled; review SRT/VTT before using them.
